I bought a new Dell Venue 8 pro and love it from the day one. It goes everywhere I go, I listen to music, watch youtube videos, play games. But then other day I was listening to music and my music kept on switching off. This was very annoying so I started to google and see how people are getting around this issue and I couldn't get any answer.
There was an post where the guy said that you can write a code to blank the screen, but that is not a solution for everyone. There are people who don't know how to code, but the code gave me the Aha moment and I remembered that there is a screen saver that says "Blank". So I thought that if I use this with the power management where the tablet doesn't go in the sleep mode if the tablet is connected to the power supply. So this is what changes I made to my tablet.
1. On the search type "Screensavers". From the list select the change screensaver...
Make the changes as see above and click on "Ok"
2. Now on the windows select the following
"Change PC settings" --> "PC and devices" --> "Power and sleep"
On the screen you will see there will be 2 settings
a. Brightness
b. Sleep
Under the Sleep
"When plugged in, turn off after" --> Change this setting to "Never"
You can change the same for the "On battery power, turn off after" that is up to you. I like my plugged in and I use the bluetooth Headphone.
Make the changes and you are good to go.
